Andrew Goodmin task

Andrew Goodmin comments on the role gender represents in music videos and discusses why both genders are accustommed to behave in a certain way. I summarised the theory and argued a point like this, 'Women are expected to behave in a certain way to please the male audience. It is expected that the male figure would feel like this and women have to obide by this to gain recognition' Although some argue it is just to please the male audience, there is a still a strong demand in the female demographic for artists to represent themselves in todays fashion so they are suitable role models for the young girls of today's society. Artists we are familiar with that may take this role are girl bands such as the saturdays, girls aloud or artists in the Hip Hop Genre where they are well known for their appearances in bikini's.
